Drone Stretcher
Aerial Lifeline is a drone-assisted rescue stretcher concept designed to reach people in disaster zones where conventional emergency vehicles face limited access. Combining aerial mobility with a foldable stretcher, it explores how injured people could receive timely assistance and be transported across difficult terrain. The concept places human safety and reassurance at the center of emergency rescue.
Reflection
Reflecting on the design, my next priority is to strengthen patient and rescuer protection. Mesh guards around the propellers could help prevent accidental contact, while a retention net beneath the stretcher could catch loose belongings before they fall from height. Accessible handgrips would give patients something secure to hold, and adjustable safety straps would help stabilize their bodies and prevent falls during transport. Further development would also require testing payload capacity, flight stability, patient comfort, and emergency procedures with rescue professionals to assess the concept’s safety and feasibility.
