About Jewell

A portrait of you.

Introduction

I’m a product designer who loves physical objecys and user experience. I have a pretty big dream: to become a seriously great designer who gets to travel, live in different places, and see how people around the world design their everyday lives.

I’m always curious about the things people make to get through their days, and the people behind them. I love listening to someone share their past, their routine and their little frustration. That’s usually where the design problems hide. Along the way, I want to keep finding the pain points that quietly affect the people who need better products and experiences the most, and then design something that actually helps.

My favourite moment in any project is the brainstorm, when ideas start flying and something clicks. In those minutes I’m fairly convinced I’m a design genius. (The prototypes keep me humble.)

Right now part of energy goes into my portfolio and most are in my brain.

My lifetime plan: design wildly while I’m young, explore as much as I want, and one day, when I’m old, move into a house full of things I made myself, from the interiors to the products to the experiences in between.

But first, I need a full-time job. So if you’ve read this far, hire me!

  • Interests and hobbies

Outside of design, I’m someone who collects small, good moments. The smell of coffee, a sunset over the water, the quiet time in DIY...

  • Coffee, tea and flowers

Set the tone for a good day.

  • Travel

Mars is too far, travelling on Earth is enough great to me.

  • Hiking

    Recharge with nature.

  • Sunset, sunrise

Some beautiful things only show up when you slow down.

  • Memory

A photo is a way of getting a moment back.

  • DIY

The joy of turning an idea into real.

  • Art museum & exhibition

Standing in front of a display case, I’m looking at objects that people made by hand a long time ago, the products we design today could one day sit behind glass too, and someone in the future might wonder who made them and why.

Introduction

I’m a product designer who creates physical objects and user experience. I have a pretty big dream: to become an international designer who gets to travel, live in different places, and see how people around the world design their everyday lives.

I’m curious about the things people make to get through their days, and the people behind them. I love listening to people share their ideas, their routine and their joy or frustration. That’s usually where the design problems hide. Along the way, I want to keep finding the pain points that quietly affect the people who deserve better equity, and then design something that actually helps.

My favourite moment in any project is brainstorming, when ideas start flying and something clicks. In those minutes I’m fairly convinced I’m a design genius (the prototypes keep me humble.)
