Project descriptionQuiet Feast in Chang’an is a set of portable chopsticks inspired by the flavors of Shaanxi. In the post-pandemic era, eating alone has become part of everyday life. The project takes its cue from a saying in the Shaanxi dialect: “Eating noodles without garlic loses half the flavor.”

The chopsticks borrow the look of scallions and garlic, with a gradient from white to green along the shaft, and a garlic-clove form that sits beside them. Even a meal for one carries the warmth and comfort of a shared table. One person, one pair of chopsticks, and a quiet moment of everyday life.

Quiet Feast in Chang’an

The Last Line of Defense

The Last Line of Defense is a wearable safety concept against sexual assault. It is made from a special woven material that can be used in underwear and other garments, and it works with a signal that is harmless to the body and connects to mobile devices.

The design starts from a hard truth: in moments of extreme fear, many people freeze and cannot fight back or call for help. If the garment is violently pulled or torn, the system automatically alerts paired devices, sounds an alarm to deter the attacker, and sends the wearer’s location to an emergency contact.

Bösendorfer Piano

A one-week study in modelling and rendering a concert grand piano. I wanted to practice getting the glossy black finish, the brass strings and the warm wood of the interior to feel real in a room setting.

Travlo: Travel In Vlog

Travel In Vlog began with a question from the post-pandemic era: what can design do for people who feel isolated or low after long periods at home? We responded with a service and product system for luggage, guided by three keywords: light, smart, and fun.

The suitcase has a built-in camera and a small projector, so travellers can record their journeys and share them without carrying extra gear. Solar charging keeps the electronics running on the road. It also has fingerprint unlock, GPS positioning, and a smart alarm for added security. A companion app lets users upload, edit, and publish their clips, turning travel into a visual diary.
